A wise man once said ‘A winner is a dreamer who never gives up!’ . Like Nelson, we are dreamers. At Garantell, where products are made-to-measure and people are made-to-grow, the sky is the limit! A travel of a life time, together, conquering Europe! However, we don’t want to travel alone…we want to meet up with others who are also traveling on the path of change. We believe we can learn from each other and together carry out more learning experiences.

This is just a philosophical way to say we are looking for 2 board members. Let’s call them Bonnie and Clyde- they also went on a road trip -to keep things simple.

Who are we?

Garantell is a family owned business; we create and manufacture high-end wire mesh solutions. We believe in simplifying people’s everyday life. We are an award winning company (winner of the Smart Industry Award in 2018) and fast growing. And no, we are not flawless. We are self-critical, love to step out of our comfort zone and believe in trusting people. Therefore, you do not have to be perfect, but enthusiastic! In other words, do you want to be part of our journey to become market leader in Europe?

Who are we longing for?

We dream of people who can inspire us, because honestly we don’t have to waste our time learning how to make cinnamon buns when we can use your recipes! So we are looking for 2 board members. But extra special ones. Because we love people who also are open to learn from the work floor, although some of us are known for baking some form of unidentified food objects (ufo’s). We do not like top-bottom acting, but we do love to mix an insider and outsider perspective as we work in self-leading teams. Nobody is worth more than the other.


Wait I am getting my bazooka out for some serious term dropping regarding what we require:

- We want you to have experience in international B2B, mainly in Europe

- A strong strategic and analytical ability and the capability to see the bigger picture

- Experience and interest in external monitoring and analysis, trend spotting, the latest technical development and current research for future business models


And no you cannot get your own gun out, we believe in inspiring and contributing rather than top-down control.


In addition to the board assignment, you might be engaged as a temporary resource for the operational business. Needless to say you need to have experience with corporate governance and it would be lovely if you have followed a type of board training. You need to be ready to engage yourself for at least 3 years.


Special requirements for Bonnie

We want you to be our Sales & Marketing sparring partner. In the board you are responsible for the focus on customers' needs and value creation (for customers). Furthermore, we want you to think along how we can make full use of digitalization in ours marketing and sales processes. For us it is kind of logical, we want you to contribute to developing our customers' buying process rather than our sales process. And let me add another classical thing to say: we want you to have solid experience of international B2B marketing and sales strategy.

Special requirements for Clyde

We want you to be responsible for the board's focus on future business models and thus have extensive experience of business modeling and scenario planning. You know the thing invented by the army. And yes, you must have solid experience of working in a company with an existing profitable business model. But also be able to develop and innovate the business models of the future. And to top it, you must have good knowledge and experience of innovation and change management.
